MR,
Can you do a soft back up of the flash this way? ...
Was reading the networking specs of the Rls 6 ICS... as you indicated all T1 connected. Is there a way to fool the T1 equipment into using IP so as to go IP straight into Norstar? I'm aware of 3Com. But can it be faked with N*?
Here in the frozen north T1 is horridly expensive.
Honey, I frankly have no idea! I haven't messed with IP at all as yet. I will get into it as soon as I have time to start lookin at the BCM. MRoberts

MR,
Thanks. I havn't been called "Honey" ever before on the net. I feel I may have got myself into a sticky situation... I'm not combly enough to get too many compliments...
Just did an MCK 6000 extention over ISDN... old stuff I suppose but the first one around here... so am full of what ifs right now. And if, just if, there is a slick way through and around DS1 equipment I want to know.
I had a MCK rep here not too long ago and those products seem really cool. I haven't done one yet but it's just a matter of time. How did yours go? MRoberts

MR,
Overall, MCK install went well. I had not done one before and did it from the manual up. I used BRI and Motorola Bitsurfr Pro TAs. The set up was to have N* sets functioning at the remote site as if in the same prem as the main office. Paging, Xfer, Voice Call, it all had to work with as little change to the user as possible. There are some truly glaring errors and misdirections in the manual... but I have read and overcome much much much worse.. (Sprint Products Group being the absolute bottom... computer manuals aside) The link is local dial, the voice quality great, set up wizard OK.. if not just a bit limitted and the after install tech help terrific, direct and timely. They call you back!!! Most glaring customer problems are paging output through the ATAE + TAMB lower and not as sharp as the 6/16 Norstar pre-amp and the 911 analog port at the remote site takes a while to refresh after use.
But I would recomend this for anyone.
