I am just learning Nortel, (Avaya is my specialty), I am programming a CICS system w/ a flash light voicemail. I have voicemail set up on ext. 100. When I call internally, the call is picked up by voicemail after 4 rings. If I call in on an outside line, it gets picked up immediately. How can I change this to a delayed pickup?? I'm sure this must be an easy thing to do.

In comparing this system to a Partner, I must say that while the programming seems to be more difficult, it is a more robust system and seems to have a better voicemail integration that the Partner (at least the older VS mail).

Thanks,

Eric

Does it go to a particular mailbox or the aa greeting or the general mailbox?

Check to see if any extensions are set to forward to vm, look for any sets set to forward busy to vm.
check to see if ext 100 is set to forward busy to vm

what are the versions CICS and VM you have?

100 is the general mailbox, right now it is just a mailbox and that is why it goes srtaight to vmail on outside, go to change mailbox in programing and tell mailbox 100 it is with ext 221 or what ever your reception ext # is.
