Flash is client only 1

I assume Flash is for Presentation only on the Client workstation?
I am just learning Flash and was wondering if it is a Client only language where it doesnt interact with any Server side database and really has no Server side capability?

Not sure what you mean but many Flash movies interact with server side script of some sort. There's Server Side Action Script as well if you want to use it.

Yes, but you'll need a middleware, which can be in any language: Java, Perl, PHP, C#, whatever. It's the same principle as HTML based web application.
