I have done a lot of programming on Flash and NAM in the past. The problem in that I have never installed one. Had a friend ask me to do an install for him of a MICS and Flash with 4 phones. He told me to connect the flash to Ext ports for 225 and 226. That did not seam right to me. I tried F983 to set up the Flash and I just get feature inactive. Same thing on F981. When I call 225 the VM answers but 120000 or 1020000 is invalid. Do I have to F903 with config first? Also do I have to program in the DN under line Type? I have been reading the manuals but want to get everything straight before going on site. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

I did that as well, but that was in case they upgraded the ports to 2 more in future as to not mess up the wiring sequence.
All depends on what vmail is in play.

For Flash on say an 8X24 then I would use port 123, if 4 port Flash then 123 and 124.
If a MICS then ports 131 and 132.

If it was a copper NAM 4 channel (2 port) it would be 121 and 122, then any upgrade later would go on 123 and 124.

"Also do I have to program in the DN under line Type?"

The only thing I do is change the DN to something like 500 and name DN 500 VMAIL.
That is tech preference.
