OK, I inserted a flash page into my dreamweaver document. It plays as intended in the browser when i test it, but when i upload it my website it refused to play at all - all i am left with is a clank, white area where the site shoud be. I assume that this must just be playing back the html less the flash content?

Firstly, am i failing to save the file correctly? When I save the dreamweaver file that has the flash inserted, the resulting file remains just an html file without an associated flash file - i expected that the two would somehow associate themselves.

This means that to upload i have to upload both the swf and the html file separately from different places on my hard drive- is this right

any help much appreciated,

Best wishes,

Yes, you're right .. upload both the html file and the flash movie. Also , make sure they're in the correct locations on your web-server (relative to each other that is).

As a general rule, the structure of my web-site exactly mirrors the structure of the site setup within dreamweaver, so as to cause as few problems as possible with file locations/paths, etc.

Greg.
