Flash Information MB for DN

I have a school with an child after care program. They want to have their school room extension play an INFORMATION ONLY announcement regarding their schedule, pick up times,etc. but not take a message at all.

Normally with NAM or CP I just assign a MB and have it NOT accept messages. This is not available on FLASH 2.0. I created an INFORMATION MB assigned it to Ext 213 and recorded a greeting. The only this is when a call is transferred to it via the CCR it rings 3 times them says the party you are trying to reach is not available. I have everything set up properly to the VM. The only thing I can figure out is that INFO MB's are not allowed on an active DN.

Any suggestions?

Remove the DN from the mailbox and it won't transfer the call. If you use the ALT greeting in a subscriber mailbox you have the option of denying leaving a message.

On 2.0 FLASH I did not see the option not deny a message. I will check again.

Just checked the manual you might be right it makes no mention of the option (might be CP only). In any event just remove the extension DN and the call will go to directly to voice mail. Use an info box (no option to leave message there).

Does this phone ever receive calls directly from the auto-attendant? If it does you are out of luck. If not remove the DN from the mailbox setup.

Yes, they have auto answer first ring all calls. I could always record a message and at the end say "Messages may not be left at this extension, to reach the office press 0". then I can take a long pause of dead air.
