I had a question i want to put several screenshots into flash and i have to shrink them because they are so big when inserting they all come up blurry. How can i have clean professional looking screenshots, i even tried scaling them and saving at scale then insertig them, still fuzzy though. Any thoughts?

hi,
Even we have faced this kind of problem when importing screenshots. The only solution we found out is to trace the entire screenshot in flash so that no blur will happen in any screen resolution. I know its a time consuming task but for clarity its the only option. Even you try your hand on photoshop by increasing its brightness/contrast etc., it will still look blurry when imported in flash. So my solution would be to trace the screenshot.

Thanks and Regards,
Kishore

A better solution would be to import your images as .png files. The largest reason for your "fuzziness" is not the import into flash but the resizing (downward) of the images.

The best possible flash image import is from a .png. Taht said no matter what type of image you imported you can go to the image properties (in the library) and set the compression settings. Lossless is a choice here.

Note: No matter what the original file type is, if you do not choose "lossless" the images will be subject to the movies Publishing jpeg compression. To increase resolution (decrease compression) increase the number in the jpg compression box.

Your flash movie will become larger as a result! This will obviously cause increased load times.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
