If someone can take a couple minutes to read through this and offer any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

I created a new form application document in Flash 8. The hierarchy of my slides are as follows:

I. main (contains the navigation)
a. slide_1 (must include the navigation)
b. slide_2 (must also include the navigation)
etc...

the screen type for these are 'forms'. within each form i have a timeline with basic animations. currently, i'm using behaviors to show and hide slides (probably not the most efficient method given my final document will have near 50 screens).

the problem is that when i use show and hide behaviors it appears that the timeline within both slide_1 and slide_2 begins playing when the main title appears, rather than when i 'show' each slide, so i lose my animations in each slide.

although i have a good amount of experience in flash, this is the first time i have messed with flash form applications.

should the screen type be 'slides' rather than 'forms'?
is there a similar 'on click goto and play' actionscript for screens?

any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance!
