Flash DN length change

Want to upgrade a CICS two digit length to a MICS three digit length system, the CICS was a two digit length with a flash 2 port version 1.7
My question is, when I change over to a MICS 3 digit, will the VM Follow or do I have to re-initialize the VM.
Wondering if there's a way to change the VM DN length.

i'm pretty sure you'll have to re-initialize it.

For Flash to work properly, the mailbox number length must match the
Norstar KSU DN length. When you change the KSU DN length, the Flash
system automatically reboots itself. Once the system completes its reboot,
you must re-initialize and reprogram Flash. For more information about the
KSU DN length, refer to the Norstar Installation Guide that came with your
system.
