Flash Chat Mod

I was wondering how I would make a flash chat that displays who is in the room and obviously what is being said. I have seen some that use a couple txt files but I am not sure how I would create it in flash. Thanks!

You can build a chat server in Flash using XML socket connections - there's a good example on

This may be too much but for the sake of the thread - Flash MX Communication Server does this with ease and even comes with a sample chat room
