I was just fiddling with a chart of mine and came up with an idea. I want the graph colours to change depending on the value of the bar in the graph - the higher the value the dark the colour shade? Has anyone come across this before?

Simon

Hi, simoncpage,

Yes. I have done it.

You created additional columns that each would correctopn to a different color. In each new column, you have a formula that displays the source value for a particular condition. In your chart, when the value is greater than zero, that column's color is displayed.

Hope this helps :) Skip,

Let's say that ColB has some amount value that you are charting across months.

Lets say that when the Amount exceeds 25,000, that you want the bar color to be RED, otherwise BLUE.

Set up ColC with formula
=IF(B2<25000,B2,0)

in ColD
=IF(B2<25000,0,B2)

Create you chart with bars for columns C & D
