Im developing a cd rom flash (autorun) and all I have left to do is add a series of scrolling content 'boxes' / panes... (8 to 12 or so)... the size of my .FLA is about 28mb now, and the .exe file Im creating from that is about 7mb -- they'll both grow with the addition of the text and a few more images...

my question is should I be concerned at the size of the resulting .exe if it gets to be around 12mb or so?

What are the implications of this exactly (i.e. a cd rom executable of that size using flash)-- if there are any.

Thanks

In theory the maximum size would be either c. 700MB (else it won't fit in a CD-ROM) or the size of available RAM on your target machine (else it won't run), whichever smaller.

But very large Flash EXE like 50MB+ may have some problems running - Flash is not designed for creating standalone exe - and if that's the case I'd consider Director instead. 7MB shouldn't be a problem though.
