How do you make links out of Flash buttons??
I have created a button in Flash 5 to use in a web page.
I know how to insert it as a movie in an HTML document using Dreamweaver MX but how do I make it into a link to another page in the same site?

Dreamweaver has built in Flash text and buttons which have a box into which you can enter the path that you want to link.
If you want to create your own buttons it seems difficult to do the same.
I have tried all sorts of ways of doing this. Should I make the link when I create the button in Flash or do it in Dreamweaver MX. Do I need to know action script to do it?
I hope you can help.

I suppose u alreafdy have created button symbol,click the button and type this:

on (release) {
getURL ("yourpage.html");
}

Yes, make the button a link IN FLASH. Dont try to do it through dreamweaver because then you really have defeated the purpose of making the button in flash.
