I cant get my buttons to go from scene to scene. They just keep playing scene 1. I went to actions window several times, and I just can't figure out how to make the actions work for me. I'm using Flash 5. I knew how to do it it flash 4. Thanks, t5pete
Yeah, I'm opening the actions window, I just don't know how to type in stage 2, I don't know anything about using script, so maybe I am not typing the right code? t5pete
Download the package.
Open the .fla and check out some of the button's action scripts.
Was done in Flash 4 but will load fine in Flash 5 that will adapt the scripting with the correct syntax.
god, I have to retype my whole message. No, I don't think I have winzip, someone told me I did, but I can't find it. I'm using a pc.
I don't know why I'm having such a problem making my buttons go from stage to stage, If there's a code I don't know it. Simple actions don't need codes is what I get from the book. thanks again. t5pete
oldnewbie,
that didn't want to download, it just hung there. I don't get why this is so hard, in flash4 you selected actions, then go to and play and then it listed the stages and you just picked one. Nice upgrade
Must be somethin' wrong with your machine... It works fine for me! The default downloading app. comes up instantly!
If it work so nicely in Flash 4, don't see why (if you've kept Flash 4 - both versions co-exist on my machine), and as Dave has sort of pointed out, you don't still design your movies in Flash 4 and then just import them in Flash 5 afterwards, which automatically adapts them with the right syntax.
You can then better understand the differences between the two versions.
I've uploaded my .fla to yet another server( an amerian one)... If this one doesn't work for you, I think you should envision a complete overall of your machine.
I cannot figure this site out. I keep trying to tell you guys I figured out the button problem, it was ridiculously stupid. I think I need a course in threads.
