hi, i am concidering contracting out a flash project basically consisting of 4 pages (scenes). i haven't done this before and i was hoping to get some feedback on a general flash development rate per hour.
i would greatly apprciate it if anyone can give me a general idea of what i might be looking at as far as an hourly rate with and without scripting.

thank you.

I wouldn't get fussed over "with and without scripting". If scripting is involved it simply adds to the hours you put in. After all, Flash ain't much without some scripting involved.

Also, this isn't really the best place to ask about money issues. ie: I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland, so my rate would be completely different from someone in the States, Canada, or even England. There would more than likely be a difference on a city-to-city level.

My best advice would be to set yourself a small task, see how long it takes, and then contact designers in your area/city and ask them for a quote for the same work. It's the only way you'll get a realistic idea, without pricing yourself out of the game or underselling yourself.
