I am having problem exporting my Flash files (.swf) into Dreamweaver. I though that because fireworks and dreamweaver work so well together I could first bring the flash file into fireworks as an animated .gif and them export it into Dreamweaver. But once the animated gif comes into Fireworks the coulrs are all screwed up. Could anyone give me sugestions on either gif colours or another solution on how to import a flash file to dreamweaver.

Have you tried just coping the coding generated but Flash and coping it into your other file you're making in Dreamweaver

Which version of Dreamweaver are you using? From memory 3 should import Flash movies pretty simply. Otherwise Azmaramza's advice is probably best.

Never try to export a flash movie to animated GIF unless it is tiny and has very little animation (and even then...). The two file types use entirely different technology to render the animation - the resulting GIF will be huge and a very poor imitation of the original Flash movie. Fireworks is a pretty good place to create animated GIFs and gives you a little more control over the image.

The easiest way to use Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver (if i understand what you are trying to do) would be to create you page or what have you in Fireworks and insert a slice where you want the flash to go, making sure the size of the slice is the same as the flash movie. Once you have exported you page from Fireworks to Dreamweaver highlight and delete the graphic where you want the flash to go and insert your flash file, i hope i have explained that well enough.
