I have been scheduling ads using a product called FastClick AdServer. This is a commercial product used to traffic ads to web content publisher sites. Some of the ads I have set up are .jpg/.gif ads. A click through URL is assigned to each ad. Once the ads are posted on the publisher sites, the ads click through with no problem.
Some of the ads I have set up are Flash ads, which are delivered by way of an HTML template which calls a .swf file. These ads work fine at the publisher site, and users running Windows can click on the ads - all works perfectly. Unfortunately the click through URL is ignored when the ad is clicked on from my MAC (OSX). This makes it impossible to test the ads before I traffic them. Apparently this is somewhat of a known issue, but I can't find any information on this problem. I was told that it's not really a flash problem, but an issue with the Mac. The browsers I have tested with are Mac Safari and IE.
Does anyone know anything about this?
