Flash 8 Video Encoder

Hello,

I'm trying to convert a .avi XviD file to .flv format using the new Flash 8 Video Encoder.

Everything seems to work fine. I load the file into the encoder, wait a few moments, and it gives me the green tick (indicated a successful conversion).

Now the problem is that whenever I try to play the outputted .flv file nothing comes up. I've tried numerous methods but I get nothing, just a blank screen.

For example I downloaded FLVPlayer and tried to play it in that. The timer bar goes across but the screen above is blank.

Has anyone had any experience with this please? I would really like to get this working as I've heard good things about the integrated On2 codec.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I've tried other FLV files and they work perfectly.

It just seems to be the ones I encode...

I would try encoding your videos to another format, even raw video (MS video 1 or something), and then try the Flash On2 codec. It could be that the Flash IDE is having trouble decoding from XVid...
