Flash 8 Presentation - Object locations

Hi all,

I am new to Flash 8 and am running into a problem that shouldn't be that hard to figure out, but is occuring anyway.

While building my presentation I am using x and y coords for objects on the stage. When I use the same coords on a second slide with the same object, the object does not possition in the same location. Am I miss something?

If you placing it directory on Stage the same object on the same location should render the same. But if you are placing in a container and the container's location differs the object's location changes.

Thanks. I also found that the orientation of location 0,0 was different and also snap to grid was selected.
