flash 5 movies used in flash 5 movies

I'm using flash 6 and a friend of mine is using flash 5,

Do we have the same access to the textField and other properties?

Can he set his properties for text boxes the same way I do?

If I publish for flash5 (MX) can I use movies he creates by importing them into a movie created in flash 6?

no I don't think so, in mx set your pusblish setting to 5 and then actions in your action panel that can not be used in 5 will be hightlighted yellow.

Flash 5 cannot deal with the textfield as an object, as Flash MX (and not Flash 6 - that's the player only!) can, so no, he doesn't have your capabilities.

If you use the textfield object and try to publish for Flash 5, it won't work either.

You can open up one of his files, and without altering it, publish it for Flash 5, that'll work. But if you use any new textfield object's property, then you won't be able to publish in Flash 5. Regards,
