Flash 2.0.10 Feature 983 not allowed

I have a flash 2.0.10 flash working on a Compact ICS 6.1 System all my features codes work except for Feature 983 I get not allowed. What do I do to fix this problem

Assuming you're not trying F983 from a 7208, it sounds like the database is corrupted. You'll have to short the memory cap on the motherboard to default the system and start over.

Did you by chance do a reset on the system manager password from that phone? If so, use another phone and F983 should work.

I don't think smpasswd reset should affect 983 access from a particular set. (at least I haven't had that happen.)

Usually, when I have to reset the 983 pswd, I do it from the phone I subsequently use to program from.

I thought there was some issue with the Flash and T7316E. Do you have any other phone to try it on?

If f983 is not allowed, you have a Flash lite, a 10 mailbox answering machine. there was a post earlier this week reguarding this problem. Never tried the fix, but it is worth a shot.

When in doubt RTFM (read the friggin manual)

On the Flash Lite F983 is allowed, but the AA is disabled.

I agree that the resetsmpswd should not affect the F983 but I did have it happen once on a system w/old s/w. Have not run across it since.

Somethings to try....

Try an M7310 or 24

Try removing features via XFtest

Power down, pull out software, power up, power down, put software back in, power up.


Drastic:
If it's a 4 port powerdown and pull out the 2 port exp then power backup.....this will default the programming.
