Is it possible to set Windows-Explorer in order to show, for every file, if it is write protected ? Directly in the navigator I mean, without right-click - Properties. I was thinking about an additional column (more than Name, Size, Type, Date) containing a specifical flag corresponding to the attribute.

You will probably also need to enable the attributes column in the details view. To do this, in a detailed folder view, right click on "Name" or "Type" etc, and select "Attributes" from the menu that appears.

Then you can "Tools -> Folder Options -> View (tab) -> Apply to All Folders" to apply that view to all your folders (not just the one you are in).

Hope that helps!
