I somehow ended up being the man responsible for retriving corrupted data from our 3/3/06 DOB.

How does the fixlog utility work? And which fixlog utility do I need to use if we are running v4.019 (don't laugh)?

Thanks in advance for the help...

Fixlog.exe - 3.6xx - 3.8xx
Fixlog2.exe - 4.0xx
Fixlog3.exe - 4.2xx - 4.230
Fixlog4.exe - 4.231 - 4.4xx
Fixlog4327.exe - 5.0x
Fixlog5200.exe - 5.2xx - 5.2.4.x
Fixlog5.2.5.72.exe - 5.2.5.x - 5.3.x

the command line is: fixlog.exe trans.log

Thats it.

After doing what Adam said, rename fixed.log to trans.log, paste into the 20060306 folder, and regrind.
I'd say you have about a 50-50 chance of it working. Sometimes they get corrupted so badly, it doesn't work. Back in the day, when it didn't work and the customer REALLY wanted the data, we'd send it to Ibertech, and they'd email us a working trans.log in like 2 weeks :) The problem seemed to be, the customer usually contended that the sales info didn't look accurate (in a lot of cases, anyway). So, I basically used to tell the customers, if the fixlog doesnt do it, you are pretty much SOL.
