Hi all,

I am working on a few images from a friend/client, the first thing I noticed is they have all been sharpened heavily. The images show sharpenening artifacts and need some fixing. I understand that it is impossible to get them back to an unsharpened state but I need to do something to repair them as best as I can. My own thoughts have been to use the dust and scratches filter then to select the original image in the history and go over it with the history brush from the filtered image set to darken.
Does anyone have a better solution/idea.

Regards

Simon

Try applying just the blur(or gaussian) filter(course it all depends on the image).

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

You might find that Smart Blur is the better way to go as you can preserve the edges with it. I have had some good luck with this.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

Be careful - are you sure they are over-sharpened. Sometimes they can appear so if they've been scanned properly - on a drum scanner for example. [red]The only way to be really sure is to view the images at 100%[/red]

Kind Regards
Duncan
