Hi all,

Is there any way to fix the size of an mc so it won't resize when the rest of the movie is enlarged..?

I am building a flash site that is going to display some of my art. I want the main site to fit within the browser window whatever thier resolution (100% - margin="0"). The images I want to display are going to be jpeg's and I don't want them to resize from the original as I will lose quality.

One thing I'd rather not do is have them pop up in a html browser window although if that works out best I will use that as a last result. :-(

Thanx in advance roda B-)

I dont mean to be the pessimistic type, but I dont know for SURE if you could...

If you calculated the window size, and then resized the MC's within the clip, it might be able to be done, but with a bit of coding (too bad I dont know what it is)...

My 3 suggestions are this.
Either have it pop up in a new window
Or risk having the quality downgraded...
Make the Flash site not be scalable.

The second solution I would perfer...because I REALLY dont think many people will go to SUPER high resolutions...

Also, have you tried switching resolutions on your monitor to test out what effect it might have?...because I know a lot of lower resolutions, the image will get bigger, and look like junk, and if the resolution is higher, the picture gets smaller...and if flash compensated for this, it shouldn't look too bad...you might be able to pass variables back and forth from javascript and such, and depending on screen size etc, you could have flash position the MC's. OR, pass variables which say "Hey, he's got this resolution, load these set of pictures"...sorry, I'm rambling...hope this helped some...:-Q
