Using Project 2000 (just for you PDQ):
Want to track travel costs, budgeted versus actual, related to a particular task. I know there is a Fixed Cost field, but the baseline cost field appears to add the baseline resource cost and the fixed cost amount together.
I know there are different Resource Cost tables, but those will be multipled against the unit of work (hours in this case) so I don't think setting up a different rate will work.
So here's my question(s)
1. Is there a way in later versions of MS Project that I can track the fixed cost baseline?
2. Would it be better to set up a separate "travel" task and use a separate cost rate table, and only one unit of work?
3. Other ideas perhaps?
THank you in advance.
