Hi
I have a few crashed Call Pilot 100, I believe 3 or 4 of them.

One customer recently had 2 crash on him within a week (2nd was an used one but still).
The call pilot box was connected to an UPS in both occasions.

Both of them experienced the same behaviour, customer comes in in the morning and voice mail doesn't work.
Go see the cp100, and notice both leds at the left are now off. A power cycle doesn't help.

I can ping the CP100, but no web page available.

I can telnet to it, last thing I see is:
Starting Access/2 and Voicemail
SysConfig file does not exist. Use default!!!
Opening DSP Msg logfile

I have a login prompt, but I can't figure out what to put there.

Thanks for any help one can provide !!

Have you tried:
-another power supply that is 8 volts?
-another PCMCIA software card?
-upgrading it with a 3.1 card in the front slot?

I should add that the CP needs to see a KSU in order to boot up fully.
Check Maintenance on KSU to see if the ports all show as "STK" being the device.

And another is if the IP range changes on the network then the Callpilot is confused, unplug network cable and see if F983 now works.
If it works then change the IP with Laptop.
