fist backup and a corrupted VLDB?

Hi i need some help on Brightstor.
I installed Brightstor 11.5 sp2 and the client agents on other servers.
Made a backup, enabled GFS... the next mornig the full backup was successful.
Ok i thought to test out the new installation and restore a folder but all computer trees with the backup server included did not let me browse to child folders well i merged the corrosponding tape no help.
I even initialized the DB and Merged
but some foders just wont show!!
If i do the the crapy
([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\BrightStor ARCserve Backup\Base\Task\Merge]
"DonotUseCatalogMerge"=dword:00000001)
walkaround the merge of over 450Gb takes ages.
Can this be true fist backup and a corrupted VLDB?
Please any suggetions?

There is a fix for DB problems in r11.5 SP2
