I just installed Solaris 8 on an Ultra1 for the first time.
What should the User and Root's PATH contain, at a minimum, when you bring up the system? My Root PATH only contains:

/usr/sbin:/usr/bin

Naturally, very little can execute. Please advise, what should be in the PATH for User and Root after install to get the system ready for use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Those paths should contain almost everything you need.

If you have installed other software in /opt or /usr/local/bin perhaps you might want to add them too. Annihilannic.
