I took over a company who has several domain web addresses, right before my predecessor left he purchased the new corporate office domain name. Both old and new domains names will be active and my developer is creating a page now and has asked me for our new domain web name.

I know where it came from but have no clue how to activate it or point it to my iis server. Then I need to create a sub-domain off of that. How do I do this?

Any suggestions are most welcome because I have never done this before.

Thanks

1) Contact your ISP and tell them you have a new domain they need to setup on thier DNS servers. Give them the IP addresses and DNS entries you need.
2) Get thier DNS server IP addresses
3) Go to whoever you got the domain form (godaddy, tucows, etc) and enter these IP addresses in your domain registration record.

Assumig you setup a in step 1, it will now point to the IP address you specified. May take a coupe of days for 3 to update itself depending on who you registered through.

It is what it is!!
