First Time CE8 User

Hi,

Does anyone know of anyplace to find any detailed setup information or setup guides? It appears that whoever used to deal with our CE has one way or another left or company, leaving me with the cdrom and a server... of course with nothing installed but w2k-as.

search CE installation guide, you should find a pdf file can guide you to do the installation. however, I didn't use it, installation is pretty straight forward.

Make sure that you have IIS installed and configured and then just pop in the CD and let 'er rip, it's purdy much dummyproof.

Once it completes, you should be able to pop open a browser and place something like this in the URL:

http://<machine

name>/crystal/enterprise

<machine name> being the name of the server you installed on.

If it's the Professional version, you'll need to set up the server for email (use the Crystal Management Console and select the Manage Servers->select the <machine name.report
->Destinations, and add in users either through NT or using Enterprise authentication.

The help files are pretty comprehensive.
