Hi,
I am trying to supress duplicate data that I am getting from a one to many relationship. My supress x+2 formula checks for the existance of a previous value. For example,

previous{(subid)} = {subid}

Since this is the 1st record it seems like this would be false, but it is supressing the data. Only for the 1st record.

Thanks,
Barb

I think you have "suppress" checked in addition to having the x+2 formula. I think the checkmark or its absence represents a default condition which the x+2 formula overrides. But, if the x+2 formula is null (as it would be on the first record, where there is no previous record), it cannot override the default condition. Therefore, uncheck the "Suppress" and the problem should be corrected.

I did have Suppress checked in addition to the x+2 formula. I thought I needed that to say suppress if the x+2 formula is true.

Thanks both of you!
