First IP500 Install ARS Question

I am looking to setup short codes for secondary dial tone.

I am on the newest release using an IP500.

I have not worked with any 4.0+ system before this install.

Do i put the short code only in the ARS?

When I put the short code only in the ARS using

9N
Dial
Nsiournumber
Line 0 (pri)

When I hit 9 it says incompattible and does not allow you to dial.

Any help is appreciated. THanks

you need a system shortcode of 9N, Dial, 9N, Line (point to ARS). when you create the dial shortcode in the system you will see the ARS number in the drop down box for the Line.

Also be sure to create shortcodes in system and ARS for Emergency calls.

That won't work, the provider won't accept the 9 before the Nsi.

Like Amriddle01 says;

Create a Short Code

9N
Dial
9N
Line (point to ARS).

Create ARS (50;Main Default)

9N
Dial
Nsi12345678
Line ID (check outgoing live ID in the Lines)

Tick "secodary dial tone" in the ARS.

Thanks, I got it working. Now i'm onto voicemail where i'm having an issue getting to the AA from the main hunt group. I have started another post.
