Be prepared for lots of finger-pointing any time there's a glitch with the PMS integration.

Most common issue is with the Analog sets.

The descriptor does not have Message Waiting Lamps by default.

As Lundah Says, be prepared to "Prove" PMS problems.

Learn your PMS well. Some legacy PMS systems are still serial connected with no hope of seeing IP.

No PMS = unhappy hotelier.

Thanks for the info!

We are using analog sets for the rooms with predefined keys to say go to room service, reception, and other features and functions. I have done a small hotel on an avaya ip office, and one of the pains we had was programming the keys to do these functions. As we had to go to each individual set to do this, on the mitel is there a way of range programming these feature keys on an analog set?

Thanks again guys.

Where are the analog sets (Mitel = ONS) coming from? Usually you can have them pre-programmed by the manufacture.

I will have to find out, would i have to let them know what directory numbers to apply against the correct buttons?

Yes. Usually Telematrix, Teledex, SciTech do this for you if you request (for 25+ sets usually).

if some of the keys for other "functions" are pizza, taxi etc., I program speed call positions under these keys then if they change numbers for some reason you only have to change in form 31 the number and not have to go around to every phone.

Absolutley no problems with Tiger, done loads with them. Just make sure you have the PMS and SMDR enabled on the 3300 and all will be fine.
