When our people dial into a specific number/line, it is setup to AA for instructions. While the message is playing and you try to enter an extension, it drops the first digit and comes back and tells you that extension is invalid. When you enter it again it works fine. If you dial an extra number from the start it seems to stop and listen to the rest of the numbers dialed to get to the extension you want. The first digit seems to get dropped while the message is playing. Any suggestions?

I forget where it is but make sure you have Touch Tone Gate turned on.

It opens up right away for DTMF from the first key you hit. Otherwise like what is happening to Rookie you need to hit the dial pad with any digit then dial your extension.

THIS IS ROOKIE256789 again, but something is wrong with my account so I changed it. Anyway, I checked the Touch Tone Gate on my AA Admin, and it is set to standard. I noticed that there is a custom field. Should I try changing that to anything specific? By default it has 40 in the custom box. Thanks!

Change it to none because with it in standard mode that is what it is waiting on is a tone to open it up. With it at none you can just dial the extension that you want.

Sorry about the first post I meant make sure it was off not on.

Thank you VERY much! It worked! I appreciate your help.
