Firmware Upgrade

Hello all,

I need to verify the steps needed to intall a bin file to a G430 with an S8700. I already dowloaded the bin file in the format Gxxx_sw_yy_zz_1_bin to my workstation but am unsure of the command needed once I log into the G430 via the Services port. The file will be copied to a local TFTP server and from there to the G430, per your help. I have been reviewing the Installing and upgrading the g430 media gateway manual chapter 9 but still am a bit skeptic.

do a "show boot bank"

then you want to copy the image to the OTHER boot bank

copy tftp SW_imageA (or B)

type that in and you will see the syntax and examples.

do a "show image version" afterwards to verify then reset the chassis (reset chassis duh). It will boot to the bank that you just upgraded.
If you don't like it, you can "set boot bank" and revert back.
