Firmware Upgrade - HMC & pSeries - which first ?

We're about to embark on upgrading our kit; firmware and operating systems for p570s and p520s

We'll be upgrading the pSeries to AIX 6.1

Which would you upgrade first, the HMC or the pSeries; or, does it matter ?

you don't say how much of an upgrade.
I would normally do the pseries firmware first, then HMC , followed by Aix.
