firmware for printer port

i upgraded to windows xp pro. now my serial ports is not working it said firmware code 29 i was running windows 98 before i took out xp and the port work fine but wend it's in. it's like the is not hot because it's not fining the my printer with the serial ports it is a all in one hp710 printer .the printer works with the usb port but it can't scan. is there a soft pac fot this help
