I was attempting to be sure that every part of my DWL-650 was up to date by downloading the latest drivers and firmware off of D-Links web site. In my naivity I flashed my card with the latest firmware via a program called WinUpdate. There were a few warning messages but again naively (and might I add quite moronicly) I assumed that D-Link knew what they were doing with the firmware, thus I continued. Now my DWL-650 wireless receiver only blinks at me. Windows XP Home will recognize the receiver but the DWL-650 will not see my access point. Someone please encourage me by telling me that I have not killed the card. I tried to contact the tech support for D-Link but they were not much help. Anyone have any ideas? (Besides adding it to my mounting pile of paper weights)

Well, praise the Lord Jesus Christ, the card works now. At three in the morning I was quite exasperated about working with the silly card. I finally prayed and just asked God to fix the thing. I tried to reinstall the firmware again and miraculously the card worked! I am quite thankful about this fact!!
