I'm have a problem creating a navigation bar. I created a generic button, then cloned several instances of the button. When I change the text on one button, they ALL change, even though I have only selected one button. I know you're supposed to change the text in the Property Inspector, but even with the button selected, it is disabled. I'm obviously doing something wrong, here, I'm just not sure what.

BTW, I just picked up the pre-relese version Fireworks MX, so that's what I'm working with, and this is my first exposure to Fireworks.

Thanks! Calista :-X

This is a bummer, isn't it?! You would think that by creating a button that you would be able to change the text on each instance - but alas no.

There are other options available though. You could create one library file containing your button and the create a seperate file for each button and import the button into them. This will allow you to chnage the text in the new files without changing all other buttons whilst still allowing you to change your library button and update it in all of your other buttons.

The jury is still out on this though Derren
