If you work in director, you will be amazed how fireworks is of help, do all your designing on fireworks, and save the items as .png , why ?? well, in director you will be able to re-edit your casts, I personally found this startling and it helped me a lot.

well, when you're done with your director movie, save and compress a copy as jpeg...voila !
