This is something I keep meaning to ask and keep forgetting except when I run into it again.

Why is it that Fireworks MX 2004 changes colors even if they are web safe? Why change them at all?
Would this be a reason to use PS?

Example:

I tried to get this color:
245,222,179
F5DEB3

and Fireworks will only produce this:
255,204,204
FFCCCC

Thanks,

Does the colour change happen only when you export/save your file, or is it as soon as you enter the colour values?

Thanks JohnOB for responding,
I did get the answer. It is simply turning off the web safe option in the menu when you bring up the color pallet. It is the menu on the top right of the actual color pallet.

I was talking when I actually add a color like F5DEB3 and it changes/defaults to a web safe color like FFCCCC.

Thanks
