Hi all,
Just a general question...on Fireworks 3, when saving the canvas as a .gif file, is there a way that i can save the pictures that i import on the canvas as .jpg's? because when the pics save together with the page as the .gif file, the colour is very blotchy and the detail is lost.
Can this be done?
Thanks in Advance,
A. Daley

Hey A. Daley,
You can do this very easily. First, Use the slice tool(green knife) to draw boxes around the various images you need to save as jpgs. Click on the slice (green box you have just drawn) you wish to adjust. Now open the Optimization Window (Window>Optimize) and change the Settings to JPEG-Better Quality. You will then be able to adjust the Export Setting further through the Quality and Smoothing Controls.
Hope this helps,
Tim
