Fireworks 1 and 4 simultaneously

Will there be any problem if I install Fireworks 1 and Fireworks 4 on my system.

I need to have both installed. I'll use Fireworks 1 for optimizing graphics (saving RAM and faster to run since I have a slow computer). I'll use Fireworks 4 for more advanced design.

Can both versions be installed on the same system and NOT cause any trouble?

Should not present any problems at all. I have both 3 and 4 installed on mine and it works great. Like you mentioned...RAM could be a problem if you tried to have both open at once.
