Firewire vs scsi

Is firewire fast enough for video work on a G4 mac, or should I get ultra 160 scsi drives. I am using a aurora igniter card that has maximum capture rate of 13mb/s,
so what I want to know am wasting my money to get a ultra160 scsi drive or will
a firewire drive be just fine.
