Firewire Problems on G4( OS9)

Firewire problems


I have a g4 ( OS9.2 ) and for some reason I cannot get any of the firewire ports to work ? I know my add-ons work, because they work thru the Powerbook G4.

I have even tried using the internal port, I have had a look through system profiler, but this just shows 0 , even when I swap over devices and refresh


Any ideas folks

known issue.

You could try downgrading to 9.1 which MIGHT cure the prob. apple are getting bombarded with this problem.
