I recently connected an external firewire drive and explorer mapped the drive as F: with no problems. However, after I disconnected the drive, I constantly see a phantom dirve F: in explorer which is not accessible (of course since it does not exist).. I cannot seem to remove the drive letter or use it for other firewire drives. I even tried in Computer management - disk management. I want to remove the phantom letter F; and be able to use for future external drives.
