I am trying to connect Arcserve 2000 SP4 on a Win 2k box through a firewall to backup an NT4 sp6a web server. The web server has no client agents installed, do I need to allow port A234 on the firewall to allow the backup or do I need to install the client agent and allow port 6050?

How will I connect to the web server through the management program?

Is there anything else I need?

What are the implications for opening up these ports?

the best way is to install a client agent and use port 6050
you can add the client agent through the manager as you add all other agents.
