I am a Linux rookie. I have set up firewall using Smoothwall, a Linux distro dedicated to router/firewall funtions. It works well except for one problem. I am forwarding port 80 from the public web to port 80 on a private ip address. This works fine from outside my LAN. In other words, if I dial into the Internet on my laptop, I can access my Web page. But if I attempt to access the page via a PC on the LAN, via the firewall, it cannot find the page. I can access the page via the LAN using the ip address of the server, obviously not going through the firewall. I do have port 80 open. I can access any other site via the firewall with no problems.

I think this is a general firewall issue, not neccesarially related to Smoothwall but I do not know how or what to change.
