Just installed Redhat Linux 7.x . Want to Configure Firewall and Mailserver, looking for good Software. I know there are lot of programs out there. Could you guys Please advise me which one i should go with (hopefully easy to install and configure).

Thankyou in advance..

Its better to have qmail MTA for MailServer
it will serve the best you need

Also sendmail is another alternative which by default gets
installed on the Linux box..

Try using pmfirewall. It is very easy to configure and as you become more familar with ipchains, it is easy to modify and reinstall.

If you want to use ipchains, look at fbuilder for an easy to use browser based front end.

I think it's free for eval/home use. Ian

"IF" is not a word it's a way of life
